Art Baby

Liam went to two museums today -- his first, with Melanie, Mark and Nana -- the Wells Fargo museum, and his second, the SF Museum of Modern Art.

Liam likes art. He makes all kinds of expressions as he stares intently at each piece, sometimes looking over his head at another piece as we move on to look at something else. He probably liked best the Henri Matisse, Joan Miro, Vincent Van Gogh and Diego Rivera paintings as well as the Martin Puryear sculptures.

When we viewed a large Mark Rothko piece, with it's two deep solid colors, one on top and one on bottom, Liam's head jerked up and down dramatically look first at one color and then to the other.

Liam was spontaneously giggling and babble talking at the last exhibit we viewed: the Puryear sculptures. We're psyched that Liam's attention is so taken by art.
