Dracena Park, shhhh!

Oakland is not well-understood outside of Oakland. Many people view it as full of nothing but crime, gangs and an NBA franchise that trades away its best players. Yes, Oakland has all of that, but it has much more. Some of the best trees of the entire bay area are, for instance, in Oak-land. On this Friday we discovered the not-well-known, but well-appreciated, Dracena Park.

Later that day we went to the doctor for Liam's regular check-up. He's still in the tallest 3% of babies for his age.




Liam and Mark had a great time playing in this park. We met some interesting and friendly people there, one of which was Julie, who commented on a post further down this page. Julie had an auto-blowing bubble machine for her daughter and pointed it at Liam for him to enjoy the bubbles. Thanks Julie!
